Lovely Complex:
Lovely Complex is a love story between a boy and a girl. The girl, Risa Koizumi, is 172 cm high, very high compared to other Japanese girls. The boy, Atsushi Otani, is 156.2 cm tall. The difference in height between the two main characters makes them from being mistaken for a well-known comedy duo in Japan, the "All Hanshin Kyojin" will be the nickname of the couple.
If at the two protagonists vie over who is to betroth first, soon Risa's feelings for Otani emerge, making it difficult from then on her love life. Risa falls in love with Otani and will do everything to make him understand, but Otani, Risa as they say, and his friends, is a real idiot, and will take a long time to understand the true feelings of the poor Risa. When Otani take note of the feelings of laughter, will be faced to answer to his statement, and unfortunately the result will be negative. Risa Otani tells of not being able to imagine it as a girlfriend, because for too long now part of the comedy duo. Risa Otani before he takes lightly, but when you meet with friends burst into tears.

A curiosity about the language used in the anime, in fact almost all the characters speak the dialect of the Kansai, Osaka, instead of the standard Japanese. While it is fairly common in many anime have one or two people who speak the dialect of the Kansai, it is unusual that they do all the characters. In addition, both the protagonists while hating, are a reflection of the other, to give life to this comic gags for which you are known throughout their school. The peculiarity of the language used was not feasible, however, the dubbing in Italian.
The spin-off focuses instead on Risa's brother, Takato, and a new character, Manabe Hyori, while leaving the old group as secondary characters.
